Picking art for your walls is the easy part. Before it can go on your walls, you need to frame it. Chances are, you picked the art because it uniquely spoke to you. A generic, off-the-shelf frame isn’t going to cut it. You need a frame that’s as unique as your art.
Our red oak frames come from trees that fell on Clay’s parents’ property. Every step, from milling to final finishing, was done by our family.
An important part of our art is capturing the beauty in nature as we find it. Our frames reflect that same philosophy. We don’t select pieces with perfect, unremarkable grain. This is the wood as we find it, complete with the unique grain, color streaks, and knots that make it unique. Your frame will be unlike any other, as unique as you are.
The traditional window mount displays your photo under a black or white acid-free mat, revealed through a beveled window. The title, signature, and edition number are visible at the bottom of the image. This is considered the traditional way to mount a print, and it presents a polished, classic look.
Your photo floats above a colored mat. It will cast a subtle shadow on the mat. Spacers hold the acrylic glazing above your art. It presents a contemporary look that will stand out.
Images are mounted in acid-free black or white mats, with title, signature, and edition number showing. Prints are attached to the mat with an acid-free linen t-hinge. This mount lets you change the mat at a later date without damaging the print.
Frames are glazed with non-glare acrylic. Acrylic is lightweight, resists breaking, and provides UV protection.
The back of the frame is sealed with a heavy paper dust-seal. This controls the flow of air to reduce warping in humid environments and prevents intrusion by insects.
Your framed photo will arrive in a custom cardboard sleeve. This protects the art during shipping. Many of our customers rotate the art on their walls, and the sleeve is useful for off-season storage.
